Kari Eemil Juhani Ruotsalainen (born April 1, 1948 in Iisalmi ; † 2015 ) was a Finnish ski jumper .

In 1967 Ruotsalainen won the Swiss ski jumping tournament. In 1968 he started for the first time in the Four Hills Tournament . However, he could not achieve a place in the overall ranking with places 29 in Partenkirchen , 51 in Innsbruck and 73 in Bischofshofen . At the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble , he reached 39th place on the normal hill and 50th place on the large hill, tied with French Maurice Arbez . At the Four Hills Tournament 1968/69 he reached 13th place in the overall tournament ranking after good placements. At the ski flying world championships in Planica in 1972 , he finished fourth and narrowly missed the medal ranks. After the unsuccessful Four Hills Tournament in 1972/73 for Ruotsalainen , he ended his active ski jumping career.
