Juleisy Ángulo (born January 2, 2001 ) is an Ecuadorian javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Juleisy Ángulo gained her first international experience in 2016 at the U18 South American Championships in Concordia , where she won the gold medal with a width of 51.20 m. The following year she won the U20 South American Championships in Leonora with 54.00 m and finished ninth with 50.38 m at the South American Championships in Luque . At the U18 World Championships in Nairobi , she was eighth with 51.43 m and then she won the Pan American Junior Championships in Trujillo with 52.30 m. 2018 it was classified in the South America Games inCochabamba with 49.33 m in fifth place and then she won again at the U18 South American Championships in Ecuador with 54.33 m. Then she was at the U20 World Championships in Tampere with 46.44 m twelfth and won at the U23 South American Championships in Cuenca with 54.95 m, the silver medal before she also won silver at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires . In 2019 she defended her title at the U20 South American Championships in Cali with 49.83 m and also won the Pan American Junior Championships in San José with a new South American U20 record of 58.96 m before she threw a throw at the Pan American Games in Lima finished seventh at 56.51 m.
