Jules Melquiond (born August 19, 1941 ) is a retired French ski racer .

Melquiond first appeared in 1965 when he won the giant slalom and the slalom at the prestigious 3-tre races in Madonna di Campiglio . In the same year he became French downhill champion . In 1967 he was a participant in the first season of the Alpine Ski World Cup . In the first World Cup race in history, the slalom in Berchtesgaden , he finished second. Ten days later he was third in the Lauberhorn Slalom in Wengen .

After his resignation, Melquiond worked as a mountain guide . He and his two sons have been running a sports shop in Saint-Chaffrey in the Serre Chevalier region since 1999 .
