Julia Moretti

Julia Moretti (* 1970 in Götzis ) is an Austrian oboist .

Career

Julia Moretti studied modern oboe in Innsbruck and baroque oboe in Strasbourg with Katharina Arfken and Milan (with Paolo Grazzi). She was a member of the Vorarlberg Symphony Orchestra for ten years and played with the baroque ensembles Il Giardino Armonico , the Ensemble Zefiro and the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra , among others. a. at the Wiener Musikverein , the Wiener Konzerthaus , the Teatro San Carlo Napoli, the Schwetzingen Festival , the Baroque Festival Münster and the Bregenz Festival . She was co-founder of the Moderntimes Chamber Orchestra for Old and New Music , which she directs.

Julia Moretti has been the wife of actor Tobias Moretti since 1997 , with whom she has three children, including actress Antonia Moretti (* 1998).

Awards

In 2016 Julia Moretti received the Eckart Witzigmann Prize together with her husband .
