Julian Mengler

Julian Mengler (born July 16, 1986 in Iserlohn ) is a German radio and event host.

education

Julian Mengler attended high school at An der Stenner in Iserlohn, North Rhine-Westphalia from 1997 to 2006 . From February 2009 he volunteered at the regional radio station Radio MK and its youth brand yourzz.fm in the Funkhaus An der Isenburg in Iserlohn. The then program manager Andreas Heine founded the youth program of the Westfälischer Anzeiger in Hamm as a cross-media editorial team with the idea of linking radio, newspaper and online content for a young target group .

Professional career

After completing his internship , Mengler started working as an editor at Radio MK in February 2011 . He presented the Sunday sports news and reported live from the Iserlohn Roosters' away games . He also moderated programs on weekends.

In August 2011, Mengler moved to Energy Sachsen in Leipzig and moderated the daily program there. In June 2015 Mengler was awarded the Central Germany Broadcasting Prize in the “Best Contribution” category. Since 2015 he is the host of the morning show "Pop wax with ENERGY Saxony, Franzi and Julian in the morning." Mengler has been moderating the morning show alone since July 2019, as Franziska Mühlhauses left the station.

In addition to the daily moderation, Julian Mengler is also chief moderator at Energy Sachsen. In this role, he heads the editorial department and is responsible for training the volunteers.

In September 2019, Mengler announced that he would quit radio station Energy Sachsen at the end of the year. He decided to "do something new", but to stay with the radio industry. On October 11, 2019, Mengler presented his last broadcast for ENERGY Saxony. Mengler has been working as a freelance editor for Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk since January 2020

According to his website, Mengler also works as an event host and for TV formats.

Private

Mengler is married to the R.SA radio presenter Lena Mengler and she lives in the east of Leipzig.
