Juliet Landau (born March 30, 1965 in Los Angeles ) is an American actress .

Career

Landau is a daughter of the actors Barbara Bain and Martin Landau . Her sister is the film producer Susan Landau Finch . As a child, she moved to England with her parents , where she studied acting and classical ballet at the American School in London . At the age of 18 she returned to the United States with her parents .

Juliet Landau became known to a wider audience primarily through her guest role as the eccentric vampire Drusilla in the internationally popular American television series Buffy - The Vampire Slayer and Angel - Hunter of Darkness . In the latter case, the role earned her a nomination for Best TV Supporting Actress for the Saturn Award in 2001.

In 2010 Juliet Landau made her directorial debut with the film Take Flight . This is a documentary about Gary Oldman , who asked her to do a "making of" for him, which resulted in her getting a "unique insight into his creative work process" and thus making the documentary about him. In 2012 she published her first comic book series in collaboration with Joss Whedon .
