Julija Kapusta ( Ukrainian Юлія Капуста , English transcription Yuliya Kapusta ; born September 6, 1987 ) is a Ukrainian biathlete .

Julija Kapusta made her international debut in 2006 as part of the junior races of the Biathlon European Cup in Ridnaun . In the same year she ran her first international junior championship as part of the 2006 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Ufa . In the competitions in the cross-country sub-discipline , she was ninth in the sprint and tenth in the mass start. A year later , she took part again in these competitions in Otepää , finishing fifth in the sprint and 13th in the mass start race.

Her first major event among women was the 2009 Summer Biathlon European Championships in Nové Město na Moravě , where Kapusta was first 16th in the sprint and 21st in the pursuit. With Natalija Nedaschkiwska , Wassyl Palyha and Witalij Derdijtschuk she was also sixth as the starting runner of the mixed relay.
