Julija Wiktorowna Gusijowa ( Russian Ю́лия Ви́кторовна Гузиё́ва , English Julia Guzieva , born December 18, 1988 in Stepnogorsk , Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian curler .

Career

Gusijowa played for the first time internationally at the 2016 European Championships as the lead of the Russian team around Skip Wiktorija Moissejewa . The team moved into the final and defeated the Swedes around Anna Hasselborg there .

In December 2017, she and the Moissejewa team won the Russian elimination tournament for participation in the 2018 Winter Olympics against Anna Sidorova's team with 4: 1 games and competed under the banner of the Olympic Athletes from Russia in Pyeongchang . Together with her teammates, she finished ninth after two wins and seven defeats in the Round Robin .

At the 2018 World Cup in North Bay , Canada , she was the lead under Skip Viktorija Moissejewa. After a loss in the semifinals against the Swedish team around Anna Hasselborg, she and the Russian team beat the US team around Jamie Sinclair in the game for third place and won the silver medal.
