Julius Gustav Landesberger , since 1916 Landesberger von Antburg (born on March 4, 1865 in Lemberg , Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria ; died on June 21, 1920 in Vienna ) was an Austrian lawyer and economist.

Julius Gustav Landesberger was the son of Max Landesberger (1829-1892) and Rosalie geb. Rappaport (1837-1898). He studied at the Vienna University of Law and received his doctorate with distinction 1889. 1894 he left the Jewish community. He completed his habilitation in political economy in 1895 . Landesberger belonged to the Austrian school and was a student of Carl Menger . In 1902 the University of Vienna awarded him the title of associate professor for political economy. From 1906 until his death he was General Councilor of the Anglo-Austrian Bank . He was also Vice President of the Austrian Real Estate Bank and the Bodenkreditbank. In 1919 he took part in the peace negotiations as a member of the Austrian representation . He was buried in the Dobling cemetery .

Country Berger coined in 1902 in his lecture "What measures recommended for the legal treatment of industrial cartels?" The term group .

Julius Landesberger had three brothers Heinrich Landsberger (1859-1912), Siegfried Landesberger (1862-1921) and Rudolf Landesberger. His first marriage to Johanna Hansi, geb. Married black and second marriage (1895) to Else Theresa Traumann, b. Stoerk (1869-1945). His children were Lilly (born 1895), Felice Gerty (Gertrude) (1897–1989), Hedwig (born 1906), Hans Anton and Susanne (born 1910).

Honors

On April 27, 1916 Julius Landesberger was raised to the hereditary Austrian nobility by Emperor Franz Joseph for his services to the renovation of the Franz-Josef-Bahn , received the title "von Antburg" and a coat of arms. The corresponding award diploma was issued in Vienna on July 7, 1916.
