Julius Lukas
Julius Lukas (born April 9, 1875 in Trofaiach , Styria , † September 14, 1959 in Klagenfurt ) was an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Workers' Party (SdP) and chairman of the Federal Council .
education and profession
After attending elementary school , he took a nine-month evening course at the commercial school . He went to a vocational school and learned the trade of shoemaker . In 1898 he became an official of the workers' health insurance fund in Graz . In 1905 he was transferred to Klagenfurt. He also had a part-time job as an editor of the social democratic newspaper “ Arbeiterwille ” and was secretary of the SdP Carinthia.

- 1918–1934: Member of the Carinthian state parliament ( provisional state assembly , 12th , 13th , 14th and 15th legislative periods ), SdP
