Julius Siegfried

Julius Gustav Wilhelm Siegfried (born July 9, 1835 on the Skandlack estate , Rastenburg district ( East Prussia ); † June 1, 1901 in Wildungen ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Julius Siegfried, son of the manor owner Ferdinand Siegfried and his wife Jeanette, studied at the Albertus University in Königsberg and the Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg . In 1854 he became a member of the Litthuania Corps . In 1856 he joined the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After completing his studies, he became an administrative officer. After the establishment of the German Empire , he entered the administrative service of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine . From 1871 to 1881 he was district director of the Diedenhofen district , from 1882 to 1887 of the Saarburg district and from 1887 to 1892 of theDistrict of Haguenau . As a Privy Councilor he lived in Strasbourg until his death in 1901 . He was with Erika, geb. von Quistorp (daughter of Lieutenant General Barthold von Quistorp ) and had four children.
