Julius Sullan Tonel
Julius Sullan Tonel (born August 31, 1956 in Davao City , Philippines ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop of Ipil .
Life
Julius Sullan Tonel received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Davao on April 12, 1980 .
On June 30, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the prelate of Ipil. The Archbishop of Davao, Fernando Capalla , donated him episcopal ordination on August 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro , Antonio Ledesma SJ , and the Bishop of Kidapawan , Romulo Geolina Valles . On May 1, 2010 Julius Sullan Tonel became the first bishop of Ipil with the elevation of the territorial prelature to the diocese of Ipil. The inauguration took place on August 7th of the same year.
