Antonio Javellana Ledesma SJ (born March 28, 1943 in Iloilo City , Iloilo , Philippines ) is a Filipino Roman Catholic religious and retired Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro .

Life

After his ordination on April 16, 1973, Ledesma served as a priest of the Jesuit order for more than 20 years . In 1980 he received his doctorate in development studies before it on 13 June 1996 on the coadjutor - Prelate of Ipil was appointed and on 31 August 1996 by Archbishop Gian Vincenzo Moreni and the co-consecrators Archbishop Jesus Tuquib and Bishop Federico Ocampo Escaler SJ the episcopal ordination received. A year later, on June 28, 1997, he became the prelate of Ipil.

On March 4, 2006, Antonio Ledesma was appointed Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro to succeed Jesus Tuquib. On June 23, 2020, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
