Federico O. Escaler

Federico O. Escaler SJ (born June 28, 1922 in Manila , † November 28, 2015 ibid) was a Filipino religious and prelate of Ipil .

Life

Federico O. Escaler joined the Congregation of the Jesuits in and received on 19 June 1954, the priestly ordination .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on June 12, 1976 as prelate of Kidapawan and titular bishop of Girus Tarasii . The Archbishop of Manila , Jaime Lachica Cardinal Sin , donated him episcopal ordination on September 6th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Patrick H. Cronin SSCME , Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro , and Gérard Mongeau OMI , Bishop of Cotabato .

Due to the changed allocation guidelines, he renounced his titular seat on February 18, 1978. Pope John Paul II appointed him Prelate of Ipil on February 23, 1980 . On June 28, 1997, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation. Escaler died in November 2015 at the age of 93 and was buried on December 2 of the same year.
