Julius Dewayne Thomas (* 27. June 1988 in Stockton , California ) is a former American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the Denver Broncos , Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins as a tight end .

Thomas attended Portland State University and played for their team, the Vikings , both college football and basketball very successfully .
NFL
Denver Broncos
In the 2011 NFL Draft , he was selected in the 4th round as a total of 129th by the Denver Broncos . In his first two seasons he was only used sporadically due to injuries and showed only very poor performance. He only made his breakthrough in the 2013 season . He already scored two touchdowns in the opening game against the Baltimore Ravens and subsequently played a key role in reaching the Super Bowl XLVIII , in which the Broncos, however, had to admit defeat to the Seattle Seahawks . Thomas himself was elected to the Pro Bowl for the first time , which he succeeded again in the 2014 season .
Jacksonville Jaguars
On March 10, 2015, he signed a five-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars .
Miami Dolphins
Before the 2017 season he was traded from the Jaguars to the Miami Dolphins. In return, the Jaguars received a pick in the 7th round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
In the summer of 2018, Thomas announced his retirement from active sports. He plans to earn his doctorate in psychology with a thesis on chronic traumatic encephalopathy .
