Julius Weiske

Julius Weiske (born October 4, 1801 in Erlbach ; † March 10, 1877 in Leipzig ) was a German lawyer and university professor .

Life

Weiske completed his philosophical and legal studies at the University of Leipzig . He deepened his legal studies at the universities of Göttingen and Heidelberg . In 1826 he returned to Leipzig University and began to teach private law. In 1829 he was awarded a Dr. iur. utr. PhD . He began his broad literary work as early as his student days.

Weiske completed his habilitation in 1829 with the font De septem clypeis militaribus at the law faculty of Leipzig University and then became a private lecturer in German law. In the summer semester of 1833 he was appointed associate professor for German law. As such, he taught at the faculty for 44 years until his death and was valued for his clear manner.
