history

The JuTA was founded in 1984 in Düsseldorf by Bernd Lohmann, Ernest Martin and Bertram Müller and, according to its name, is located in Düsseldorf's old town . The latter was director of the JuTA until 1999. In the same year Ernest Martin handed over the management to Niels Ewerbeck , the founding director of the Forum Free Theater (FFT) in Düsseldorf, which was newly formed from the Kammerspiele Düsseldorf and the Junge Theater in the old town without its own ensemble.

program

Under the direction of Ernest Martin, the theater presented touring theater groups, cabaret artists and comedians a forum for their performances three evenings a week and soon became an integral part of the cultural offerings of the city of Düsseldorf.
