The Ka BAR ett FLiN (formerly Theater FLINgern ) is a cabaret in Düsseldorf-Grafenberg, Ludenberger Straße 37.

history

The stage, which is now located in the Grafenberg district of Düsseldorf, was founded in 1999 as a room theater in the back courtyard of Ackerstrasse 144 in the Flingern district of Düsseldorf by the Porsche couple. In 2003 the small theater was acquired by Oliver Priebe, who, with his partner Philipp Kohlen-Priebe and the support of the Neue Bühne Düsseldorf association, expanded it into a district theater with 80 seats in 2004.

In 2014, the now established theater had to give way to a housing project. After a lengthy search, the operators found a new place of work in a traditional house in Grafenberg that had been in existence since 1904. The reopening took place on March 5, 2015 with roughly the same number of seats in Grafenberg - in the immediate vicinity of Staufenplatz. In the premises of the former Marx House there is a range of restaurants, including cabaret, cabaret and theater. The motto of the theater is "Heart-refreshing entertainment and punch-rich delicacies". Comedy with well-known cabaret greats and in-house theater productions are played.

The most successful production (director: Philipp Kohlen-Priebe) is the play “Fast Faust - or the core of the poodle” with Oliver Priebe in the role of Faust. According to the operator, it has already been sold out over 150 times.

Theater FLINgern (1999 to 2014)

In the old theater in FLINgern, in addition to plays, cabaret and comedy programs, music and show programs as well as children's plays were performed. The program was partly designed by guests, among the best-known were Ingo Oschmann , Lioba Albus , Franziska Traub , Fatih Çevikkollu and Birgit Schrowange .

There were productions by the FLIN ensemble , such as "Saint Joan the fitted kitchen", "Mr. Cloud and Mrs. Sunbeam", "The 39 Steps" or "Shakespear's Greatest Hits". On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Johanna Ey's death, the joint production “Stage free for Mother Ey” was created in 2007 with the Aurora Theater Düsseldorf.

The FLINgern theater was closed at the end of 2014.
