Jungfrau second hand is a German crime, erotic and sexploitation film from 1966 by Ákos von Ráthonyi and Alois Brummer .

action

Two young Italians who work as guest workers in Germany find a beautiful dead woman one morning on the way to their job. You call the police. Under the direction of the Kripo, it is quickly determined that the dark-haired, young woman is the well-known prostitute Elena Rossano. The police doctor stated that two stitches, caused by a stiletto, were the cause of death. Now the criminal police begin to investigate feverishly and immerse themselves in the dark milieu of prostitution, which the film extensively illustrates in numerous scenes. The brief and intense life of Elena Rossano is rolled out in flashbacks. Finally, a completely different image of the perpetrators emerges. It is not a beating girl, a crazy suitor or a sex criminal who is responsible for the whore's death. Your cat brings it to light: the murder was committed by a lesbian friend who wanted revenge on Elena.

Production notes

Second-hand Jungfrau was created in 1966 in Yugoslavia (exterior shots) and in Munich. The de facto wacky production was to be loaned out by the rental team, which went bankrupt. Thereupon the Munich film distributor and aspiring porn film producer Alois Brummer seized the opportunity, secured the rights to the "Jungfrau" and shot on his own responsibility "700 meters of 'hot girl scenes'", as it said in the mirror , which added to the finished film were. Instead, some of Rathonyi's scenes have been removed. This end product was released in German cinemas on March 30, 1967.

For director Ráthonyi it was the second foray into the sex and exploitation film genre after St. Pauli Herbertstraße .

Reviews

“The amateurish dirty film about prostitute murder and brothel operations, in which very honorable men appear (Joseph Offenbach and Wolfgang Preiss), also comes from second hand. (...) That is why Rathony now considers his “virgin” to be desecrated. Result after some quarrels: The film does not name a director. He probably didn't have one either. "

- Der Spiegel , No. 23 of May 29, 1967

“The German color film (directed by Rathony) rides in vain on the promising wave of sex and crime. Because it is of the cheapest design and has nothing to offer apart from breasts and legs and common expressions from the hooker milieu. It's a shame about actors like Joseph Offenbach, Ingrid van Bergen and Wolfgang Preiß. "

- Hamburger Abendblatt from May 17, 1967

In the lexicon of the international film it says: “Plump speculative film.” Even the Protestant film observer does not believe in the film : “A completely unsuccessful film set in a prostitute, pimp and brothel milieu, whose speculative intentions are all too clear. To be rejected. "
