Douglas Junior Ross Santillana , called Junior (born February 19, 1986 in Bellavista , Peru ) is a Peruvian football player .
Career
society
Junior made his professional football debut at the beginning of the 2004 season with Coronel Bolognesi FC , in the Primera División Peruana . After two seasons, the striker was loaned to the league rivals Club Sportivo Cienciano . At last year's champions, however, Junior could not prevail, briefly returned to Bolognesi and was awarded again in January 2007 within the league. The capital club Alianza Lima secured the services of the attacker. Junior stayed there for a year before returning to Coronel Bolognesi in January 2008.
In the winter of the 2008/09 season he was invited to a trial training session by Werder Bremen . On February 2, 2009, Junior Ross moved to the second division FSV Frankfurt shortly before the end of the transfer period . In the second half of the season Ross was used ten times and scored one goal. In October 2009 he suffered a serious shoulder injury in the game against 1. FC Kaiserslautern and was out for the rest of the preliminary round. In the summer of 2010 he returned to Peru. He signed a contract with Club Juan Aurich .
After only half a year he left his home country and switched to Arka Gdynia . There he played four games in the Ekstraklasa before returning to Peru in the summer. There he joined Sporting Cristal , with whom he won the league title in 2012. In 2015 he moved back to Club Juan Aurich. As more stations followed Sport Huancayo and the second division CD Universidad César Vallejo and cienciano. He has been under contract with the Sport Boys in the Primera División since 2019 .
National team
Junior made his debut for the Peruvian national soccer team in 2004 as part of the qualification for the 2006 World Cup . Until 2013 he was used in a total of eleven international matches.
