Juraj Halenár (born June 28, 1983 in Trnava ; † June 30, 2018 in Bratislava ) was a Slovak football player .

Club career

Halenár played in his youth for FK Lokomotíva Trnava and FK Inter Bratislava . At Inter, he also made the leap into the senior team. Then Halenár moved to FC Petržalka 1898 in 2005 . In a UEFA Champions League qualifier in July 2005, he scored three goals in a 5-0 win against Celtic Glasgow . In September 2008, Halenár moved to ŠK Slovan Bratislava, with whom he was Slovak champion twice and won the national cup competition three times.

National team

Halenár played in the Slovak U19 national team, which was third in the 2002 European Championship . With the Slovak U-20 national team he played at the 2003 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates . His injuries prevented him from breaking into the national team.
