Just Look Around is the second studio album by the American hardcore band Sick of It All . It was released on Relativity Records in October 1992 . In Europe it was distributed through Roadrunner Records . A new edition was published by Century Media , another by EMI .

Origin and style

Like its predecessor, the album was recorded in the Normandy Sound studio in Warren , Rhode Island . This time, too, there was a lack of promotion by the label. The album was a bit more Metal- like and groove- oriented than the first album. It begins with an excerpt from an oath ("the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me god"), followed by another sample from an address by Ronald Reagan on the Iran-Contra affair ("that we did not, repeat, did not trade weapons or anything else for hostages ").

reception

Lauri Wessel from Ox-Fanzine called the title track - later remixed by DJ Lethal - one of the strongest sick-of-it-all songs. “Mid-tempo songs and well-produced guitars” were “the first step towards a groovy hardcore sound”.
