Justin Lamoureux (born August 26, 1976 in Red Bank ) is a retired Canadian snowboarder .
Career
Lamoureux completed his first FIS Snowboard World Cup in December 1997 in Whistler , which he did not finish. At the Snowboard World Championships 2001 in Madonna di Campiglio , he finished 47th in snowboard cross. In December 2002 in Stoneham he came third in the halfpipe for the first time in the World Cup and made it to the top ten. At the Snowboard World Championships 2005 in Whistler , he won the silver medal in the half pipe. He also achieved 31st place in the Big Air competition. The following year he came in 21st place in the halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin . At the Snowboard World Championships 2007 in Arosa , he achieved 15th place in the halfpipe. In 2009 and 2010 he was second in the halfpipe at the Burton Canadian Open in Calgary . At the Snowboard World Championships 2009 in Gangwon , he finished 45th in Big Air and fifth in the halfpipe. In the 2009/10 season he was in the top five of all four World Cup appearances. He came second in Calgary and third in La Molina in the halfpipe and won the halfpipe world cup at the end of the season. In the overall World Cup, he finished 16th. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he finished seventh. The following year he reached 18th place in the halfpipe at the 2011 Snowboard World Championships in La Molina. He competed in his last competition in January 2013 at the Snowboard World Championships in Stoneham and came 32nd in the halfpipe.
Lamoureux took part in 69 World Cups and made it into the top ten 22 times. In 1999, 2001 and 2006 he became the Canadian halfpipe champion .
