Károly Klimó
Károly Klimó [ ˈkaːroj ˈklimoː ] (born May 17, 1936 in Békéscsaba ) is a Hungarian painter and graphic artist . He is a representative of non-figurative art and a member of the Széchenyi Academy for Literature and Art (1993).
biography
He studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest from 1956 to 1962 . He had his first solo exhibition in Budapest in 1977 . He went on numerous study trips to several European countries, the USA , Iran and South Korea . Since 1990 he has been a professor at the Art Academy in Budapest, he lives and works in Budapest and in the area of Lake Balaton , interrupted by frequent stays in Germany and Austria .
His work has meanwhile been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in many countries around the world. Works by Klimó hang in the Kunsthalle Mannheim , the Albertina Vienna , the Seoul Art Museum and the National Gallery in Budapest .
