The Kälberbach is an almost five kilometer long right and western tributary of the Elbbach in the Westerwald .

geography

course

The Kälberbach rises on the slope of a wooded hill northwest of Hahn am See . It initially flows in a south-easterly direction. After about 700 meters, it changes from the forest to a green zone and shortly afterwards it reaches the western edge of Hahn am See, which it passes underground through pipes to reappear at the eastern edge of the place. It now makes a small loop and then moves through a meadow landscape towards the northeast. Its bank is lined with trees and bushes. A reservoir was created here in 1967 , along with a large leisure facility. The stream from the Elbinger Lei also flows into this lake . The Kälberbach leaves the lake and flows south past the Spiesmühle . He now makes a slight arc and reaches the village of Moravia . The brook flows through the town, crosses under Brückenstraße and finally flows into the Elbbach .
