Köhler (Swedish noble family)
Koehler is the name of an originally from Halberstadt originating patrician family , which is later in Livonia , Sweden and Finland has spread.
There is no regular relationship to the Saxon - Bavarian von Köhler or the Prussian von Köhler .
history
The lineage of the family begins with Johannes Koler (documented 1545–1562) who is possibly identical to the following. On August 5, 1569, the diplomat of the cathedral chapter in Riga, Dr. jur. utr. Johann Köler, heir to Smerle in Livonia and his brother Zacharias Köler, who lived in Regensburg , were raised to the imperial nobility in Vienna , combined with an improvement in the coat of arms .
The Swedish lieutenant general and hereditary lord on Gullbringa, Län bohus Fredrik von Köhler (1640-1723) was raised to the Swedish baron status on June 30, 1719 and in 1720 introduced to the baron class of Swedish knighthood (No. 167). The Smerle line, which was owned by the family until 1695, was registered with the Livonian knighthood in 1745 and the baronial line with the Estonian knighthood on July 4, 1752 . The Swedish captain Anders Erik von Köhler (1728–1800) received the Swedish aristocratic naturalization on September 13, 1772 and was introduced in 1776 to the nobility class of the Swedish knighthood (no. 2085).
