The Kökart ( Kyrgyz Көк-Арт ; Russian Кугарт , Kugart ) is an important right tributary of the Kara-Daryja in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan .
The Kökart rises on the southwest slope of Ferghanagebirges . The Kökart initially flows in a westerly direction through the mountains. He reaches the Fergana Valley and turns south-south-west. The river flows through the regional capital Jalalabat and then passes the two places Suzak and Kümüsch-Asis . The last few kilometers it forms the border with Uzbekistan . Finally it flows into the Kara-Daryja ( Qoradaryo ) west (below) the Andijon dam . The Kökart has a length of 105 km. It drains an area of 1370 km². The mean discharge is 18.1 m³ / s.
