Les Království

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Les Království (German Kingdom Forest) is a forest area in the Czech Republic . It is located north of the city of Dvůr Králové nad Labem and the Elbe flows through it.

After the settlement of the East Bohemian foothills of the Giant Mountains around Trutnov , the kingdom forest was preserved as a relic of the old Bohemian border forest and only smaller settlements emerged.

In the southern part, the four kingdom parishes were formed after patrimonial was replaced in the mid-19th century.

  • Kingdom I / Království I comprised the villages of Neu Koken / Nový Kohoutov, Neu Rettendorf / Nové Kocbeře, Neu Söberle, also called Neu Kränke / Nové Záboří and Weiberkränke / Výšinka as well as the five houses.
  • Kingdom II / Království II consisted of Hegerbusch / Hájemství and Oberdöberney / Horní Debrné.
  • The community of Kingdom III / Království III included the places Neu Nemaus / Nový Nemojov and Ober Nemaus / Horní Nemojov as well as the piece houses.
  • Kingdom IV / Království IV was formed from the villages Hintermastig / Zadní Mostek and Vordermastig / Přední Mostek.

In the years 1910 to 1920, the Království dam was built between Nový Nemojov and Podháj , in which the Elbe is dammed.

While the right Elbe community Kingdom IV was dissolved in 1925 in the course of the creation of the community Mastig , the three left Elbe kingdoms existed until after the Second World War and were then replaced by new community structures and the communities Nemojov and Vítězná were created. Parts of the three earlier Království came to Mostek , Hajnice , Kocbeře and Kohoutov . Other municipalities in Les Království are Choustníkovo Hradiště , Borovnice , Borovnička .

At the northern edge of the forest is the former pilgrimage mountain Svatá Kateřina . On the neighboring Bradlo there are the remains of a high medieval castle, which is considered one of the locations of the lost Hostin Hradec castle .
