Kęstutis Labeckas

Kęstutis Labeckas (born December 12, 1988 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian chess player .

Life

Labeckas has been playing chess since he was six years old. In 2012 he completed his bachelor's degree in Russian Philology and Intercultural Communication at the Philology Faculty of the Lithuanian University of Education and became a teacher of the Russian language .

He works as a chess trainer in several grammar schools and middle schools in Vilnius. Since 2014 he has been teaching as a teacher at the Vilnius Education Center.

In the 2015 local elections in Lithuania , he was Lietuvos valstiečių ir žaliųjų sąjunga candidate for a member of the Vilnius Municipality Council .

In 2009 Labeckas was named International Master (IM). By this time he had already met four standards, namely in August 2008 at the Baltija Masters Cup in Palanga , in August 2008 at an IM tournament in Panevėžys , in March 2009 at an IM tournament in Druskininkai and in April 2009 at the Algimantas- Česnauskas Memorial in Panevėžys.
