KBRC (also known as Oldies Radio is) a US -American local Evergreen - radio stations from Mount Vernon in the US state of Washington . The operator and owner is J&J Broadcasting, Inc. KBRC can be received on the medium wave frequency of 1430 kHz . It broadcasts locally under K271AH-FM 102.1 MHz .

history

KBRC was in the Mount Vernon area, the first radio station of its kind, and began broadcasting in 1946. The programs are received primarily in Skagit County (including the towns of Mount Vernon, Burlington , Anacortes , Sedro-Woolley , LaConner , Oak Harbor and the San Juan Islands and Whidbey Island ). The regular audience also includes listeners from Bellingham , Everett and the Olympic Peninsula . In 1993 KBRC was awarded the “Best Overall Cooperation” , an award given by the Associated Press .

Every week KBRC broadcasts a high school "Game of the Week" in basketball and American football .
