The Košarkarsko društvo Hopsi is a Slovenian basketball club from Polzela west of Celje in Lower Styria . The club's men's team celebrated its greatest successes after Slovenia's independence in the 1990s. The only title success here was winning the national cup competition in 1996, otherwise they lost three times in 1995, 1997 and 1998 the final series for the championship against the then dominant series champion KK Union Olimpija . After the team slipped into the second Slovenian league, they have been first class in Slovenia without interruption since 2007.
