Polzela ( German : Heilenstein ) is a municipality in Slovenia in the greater region of Štajerska .
The entire municipality of Polzela, consisting of eight villages, is located in the Cilli basin and has 5654 inhabitants (2008). 2,375 people live in the main town of Polzela.
In the middle of the village is the Komenda Castle , mentioned in a document from Aquileia ; The Šenek / Schöneck Castle is located on the northern outskirts, first mentioned in a document in 1288.
