Mozirje (German: Prassberg ) is a municipality in the Spodnja Štajerska region in Slovenia .

Around 4087 inhabitants live in the total municipality, which consists of eight localities. In the city of Mozirje alone there are 1969 residents. Mozirje is located near the Golte mountain ski area (1573 m) in the Upper Savinja Valley . Slovenia's longest aerial cableway goes to the Golte. After the March Revolution in 1848, the municipality defied the first Slovene-speaking municipal administration.

A 6 hectare botanical garden with an open-air museum is worth seeing.
