The steam locomotives "KOLOSS" and "ELEPHANT" were freight locomotives of the KFNB . They were delivered to KFNB by Günther in Wiener Neustadt in 1844 with the axle formula 1B. Compared to earlier KFNB locomotives, they impressed with their performance, even though they were still equipped with Stephenson's fork control, so that they worked almost without expansion. Between 1853 and 1865 , the machines were given larger replacement boilers, the dimensions of which are shown in the table.

The machines were taken out of stock in 1871 .
