The Košarkaški klub Tikveš ( Macedonian кошаркарски клуб Тиквеш , basketball club Tikveš ) is a basketball club from Kavadarci in North Macedonia . The men's team was founded at the beginning of 1970 and has been sponsored by KK Feni Industries since 2005 . Under this name , one could also achieve the greatest successes so far with the three Macedonian championships in 2008, 2010 and 2011. In the first two championships they also won the title in the Macedonian Cup competition as a double and in the last championship they also won the title in the supranational Balkan League .

history

After it was founded in 1970, in 1985 they took first place in the top regional division of SR Montenegro . When Feni Industries joined as a name sponsor in 2005, the team initially only played in the second division of the now independent Macedonia. After they achieved promotion straight away, in 2008 the club won the title in the national cup competition. In the same year, the second of the new first class, Feni Industries moved into the main round first in the play-off final series for the championship, in which the defending champion from Strumica was able to win the title he had won for the first time. In the following season they also failed to defend their title in the cup and championship when they were intercepted in the final series of the championship by record champion KK Rabotnički from the capital Skopje , who also played the team at the premiere of the supranational Balkan League in the semi-finals of the Final Four Tournament clearly defeated. But in the following season in 2010 they won the double of the title win in the national championship and cup competition for the second time , with the Balkan League once again failing to make it past the semifinals, this time losing to the Montenegrin club KK Lovćen Cetinje . In the championship, the title was finally defended in 2011, when they finally won the title in this competition for the first time in front of a home crowd at the Final Four tournament of the Balkan League.

In the 2011/12 season they lost the final in the national cup competition against KK MZT Skopje , who was able to take the title from the main round first and defending champion Feni Industries in the final series for the championship. Also in the Balkan League failed to defend the title in the third semi-final defeat in four years. The KK MZT, which also moved into the field of participants in the ABA League , dominated the national competitions in Macedonia from now on. In the following four years Feni Industries failed three times in the semi-final play-offs for the championship against the defending champion.
