Olajide Williams “JJ” Olatunji (born June 19, 1993 in Watford , Hertfordshire ), known as KSI (short for his YouTube channel KSIOlajidebt ), is a British rapper , boxer and web video producer best known for his videos on the YouTube video platform has been.
His pseudonym KSIOlajidebt is made up of the name of an online game community of which he was a member (KSI), his real name Olajide and BT for British Telecom . He appeared on various shows , including BT Sports, in which he played FIFA with professional soccer player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain .
YouTube career
Before opening his successful channel, he had a YouTube channel JideJunior, which has existed since April 24, 2008. He opened his current account on July 24, 2009 with a video about the then video game FIFA . According to his website, youTubers like Weepeler and Hjerpseth inspired him to start his own YouTube career. His main channel is primarily focused on Fifa, while on his second channel he plays and comments on other games like Grand Theft Auto V and Pc-based changes. In addition, his family often appears in his videos, including his younger brother Deji and his father.
His side channel JJ Olatunji contains videos in which he plays and comments more or less occasionally arcade and horror games. In addition, his brother Deji Olatunji, known by his pseudonym Comedy Shorts Gamer , sometimes appears in his videos .
Music career
KSI acts largely as a rapper in the music industry. His first success was with YouTuber Randolph when they released "Heskey Time". The rap song about Emile Heskey was published on iTunes shortly before Christmas in 2011 , while the video shows the professional footballer playing "FIFA", in which he misses various chances. Due to the success of "Heskey Time", he started a video series similar to that of the YouTube channel Epic Rap Battles of History , which is called "Football Rap Battles". On March 16, 2015, KSI announced via video on its YouTube channel that it would publish a book called "I am A Bellend". In the USA, however, the book is entitled "I AM A Tool". The book is described by its publishers as "an all-out attack on the online universe". The book contains his history and development as a YouTuber, tips on YouTube, his controversies during his career as well as YouTube personality Gudjon Daniel and much more. The book was published in the United Kingdom on September 24, 2015, and in the United States 5 days later . As a result, KSI started a promotional tour that started on September 24, 2015 and ended on October 4, 2015.
