Trippie Redd (born June 18, 1999 in Canton , Ohio , real name Michael Lamar White IV ) is an American rapper .

Childhood and youth

Michael White was born on June 18, 1999 in Canton , Ohio . Michael's father was in prison at the time of his son's birth and his mother left Michael's father to raise her child as a single parent. White grew up in Canton despite moving to Columbus, Ohio . Michael's musical interests slowly came when his mother played him Ashanti , Beyoncé , Tupac and Nas in his childhood . He later turned to musicians like T-Pain , KISS , Gucci Mane , Marilyn Manson, and Lil Wayne . White started rapping after taking inspiration from Taevion Williams, also known as Lil Tae. Williams later died in a car accident. White began to take his music career seriously and recorded music with the release of the songs Sub-Zero and New Ferrari in 2014. He later deleted those songs. White was also a member of the Bloods street gang. He attended high school in Canton, which he graduated with a 4.0 GPA average. He describes himself as a loner in his school days, but who was always popular. After graduating, Michael moved to Atlanta where he met rapper Lil Wop and was eventually offered a record deal.

Private life

White is of partial Irish and Native American descent.

White claimed in March 2017 that his net worth was $ 7 million and that he bought his mother a $ 300,000 home.
