YNW Melly (born May 1, 1999 ; real name Jamell Demons ) is an American rapper and songwriter from Gifford ( Florida ).

Career

At the age of 15, he started uploading his songs to the SoundCloud platform .

YNW Melly had his breakthrough with his song Murder on My Mind , which was released in 2018. Mixed Personalities , a song that was written together with Kanye West , was also successful .

Music genre

Melly's style of music is emotional. He sees himself in contrast to other young rappers. He says himself: “I need something that touches the soul. It ain't about the views and all that; it's about the soul. If that bitch touch anybody soul, you got them. It could be a billionaire listening, but if you made that song out of your soul, it's gonna grip ears. It's gonna be stuck. It hits your soul before it hits your ears. "(German:" I need something that touches the soul. It's not about calls and all that; It's about the soul. If the bitch [meant a song] the soul touched by someone, then you have them. A millionaire could listen, but when you've made the song of your soul, it will grab your ears. It sticks. It hits your soul before it hits your ears. ")

Private

As a child, he claims to have listened to singers like Adele and Ed Sheeran in order to know what music was for the soul. At 16 he was convicted and sent to jail after being involved in gun loads. He is also said to be a member of a criminal gang .

In February 2019, he was arrested after facing the police . He is said to have murdered two of his friends and then changed the crime scene so that it looks like it was a drive-by shoot . However, the police were able to convict him with forensic investigations. The prosecution alleges that the motive was financial intent. He's sitting since his arrest in custody and likely faces a death penalty contrary.
