Kağan Söylemezgiller (born March 4, 1988 in Bad Cannstatt , Stuttgart ) is a Turkish football player.

Life

Söylemezgiller was born in the Baden-Württemberg state capital Stuttgart in 1988 and is a German citizen . He lived in Stuttgart- Untertürkheim with his parents and his six-year-old brother until the beginning of 2010 . He now lives and plays in Ankara , Turkey .

Career

Söylemezgiller began playing club football at the age of five with the Turnerbund Untertürkheim . In his youth, Kagan demonstrated his talent at the clubs SV Fellbach, TSG Backnang , Stuttgarter Kickers and finally at VfB Stuttgart . The selection of the federal state of Baden-Wuerttemberg noticed him and included him in their squad in the age groups U16 to U21. Likewise, the Turkish European selection knocked in 2005.

In total, Söylemezgiller played three years at VfB Stuttgart in the U14, U17 and U19 teams. Because of three broken metatarsals in 2006, he could not be accepted into the regional soccer team at VfB Stuttgart.

After his recovery, Söylemezgiller played in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg for VfL Kirchheim / Teck , where he was highly valued for his technique, shooting strength and intelligent game.

A talent scout discovered Söylemezgiller in early January 2010 and invited him to a training camp. For a transfer fee he was able to move to Turkey in the current season; He played his first game as a professional on January 27, 2010 against Galatasaray Istanbul , followed by another twelve appearances in the second half of the 2009/2010 season.

After the first game of the 2010/2011 season, Söylemezgiller was injured and had to sit out for eight weeks. On November 9, 2010 Söylemezgiller scored his first goal in the Turkish cup competition Türkiye Kupasi against Fenerbahçe Istanbul in the 90th minute.

Since January 2012 Kagan has been playing for the Kardemir Karabükspor club .

After one and a half seasons for Kardemir Karabükspor, he moved in the summer of 2013 within the league to promoted Çaykur Rizespor . After hardly playing any competitive appearances in the first half of the 2014/15 season, he terminated his contract in early February 2015 after mutual agreement with the club's management and left the club prematurely.

In the summer of 2015 he left Turkey and continued his career at the Swiss club FC Wil . For the 2016/17 season he returned to Turkey with his move to the second division club Şanlıurfaspor .

Turkish national team

In mid-2011 Söylemezgiller was appointed to the squad of the Turkish A2 national team.

As part of the Toulon 2012 tournament , Söylemezgiller was appointed to the second selection of the Turkish national team in May 2012 . The Turkish A2 nominated players who were younger than 23 years to meet the age requirements for the tournament. The team made it to the finals and was subject to Mexico's selection.
