Kaag is a district of the municipality of Laugna in the Swabian district of Dillingen on the Danube .

location

The hamlet is just south of Bocksberg an der Laugna and on the western slope of the 489 m high Buschelberg. It is structurally connected to Bocksberg and is crossed by State Road 2036 .

history

Kaag is first handed down in 1595 as "im Kaag bei Bocksberg". The name comes from Gehag , which means a place surrounded by bushes or thorn bushes. The place belonged to the rule Bocksberg . In the parish baptismal register on April 24, 1682, the "Weiler Kaag" with 22 inhabitants in 4 houses is listed.

As a district of Bocksberg , Kaag was incorporated into the municipality of Laugna on May 1, 1978 as part of the municipal reform.
