Kaare Fostervoll (born December 3, 1891 in Kristiansund , Fylke Møre og Romsdal ; † July 6, 1981 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian politician of the Arbeiderpartiet , who was a member of the Storting for four years and minister for churches and education in the from 1945 to 1948 first and second government of Prime Minister Einar Gerhardsen was. Studies, youth functionary and teacher

Fostervoll, son of the headmaster Kristen Fostervoll and his wife Anna Karoline Kvande, worked as an office clerk in the administration of Nordmøre from 1910 to 1911 after attending school and also completed a teaching degree, which he completed in 1912 with the teaching exam. He then worked as a teacher at a primary and elementary school between 1912 and 1919 and then as a teacher at a secondary school from 1920 to 1927. In addition, he completed a degree in philology , which he finished after studying in France and England in 1925 as Candidatus philologiæ (Cand. Philol.). During this time he was in 1923 also chairman of the student association DNS ( Norwegian Students' Society ) .
