Government of Gerhardsen I
The Gerhardsen I government was Norway's first government after World War II . This all-party government ( Samlingsregjeringen ) was formed on June 25, 1945 by Einar Gerhardsen and existed until November 5, 1945. In the government sat with the advisory minister for social affairs, Kirsten Hansteen from the Norges Kommunistiske Parti , the first female minister in Norway.
In the parliamentary elections of October 8, 1945 , the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap) of State Minister (Prime Minister) Gerhardsen achieved 41 percent of the vote and won a narrow absolute majority in Storting with 76 of 150 seats .
