Willoch government

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Willoch government formed the government of the Kingdom of Norway from October 14, 1981 to May 9, 1986 and was led by Prime Minister Kåre Willoch . It was a minority government that was initially formed by the conservative Høyre (H) party alone; This made it the first and, to this day, the last purely conservative government since 1895. It replaced the Brundtland I government .

After the Christian People's Party ( Kristelig Folkeparti , KrF) had given up its position to make a tightening of the abortion law a prerequisite for government participation, it joined the government together with the Center Party ( Senterpartiet , Sp). Therefore, on June 8, 1983, there was a major reshuffle of the cabinet.
