Finn T. Isaksen

Finn Trond Isaksen (born April 26, 1924 in Frogn , Fylke Akershus ; † September 29, 1987 ) was a Norwegian Senterpartiet politician who was Minister of Agriculture in the government of Prime Minister Kåre Willoch between 1983 and 1985 .

Life

Isaksen, son of the farmer Torgeir Isaksen and his wife Anne Cesilie Strekerud, began training at the agricultural school in Sem in 1944 after attending elementary and middle school in Drøbak and graduating from Ski Gymnasium . A subsequent study of agricultural sciences at the Norwegian School of Agriculture (Norges landbrukshøgskole) he completed in 1950 as an agronomist.

After graduating from 1951 to 1952, he was a research fellow at the Agricultural Economic Institute NLI (Norges landbruksøkonomiske institutt) for a year and then from 1953 to 1960 first a consultant and later director of the Society for Environmental Protection, before he was executive director of Norwegian meat between 1960 and 1987 - and Speckzentrale (Norges Kjøtt- og Fleskesentral) was. On June 8, 1983, Isaksen was appointed Minister President Kåre Willoch's cabinet reshuffle to succeed Johan Christen Løken as Minister of Agriculture (Landbruksminister) in his cabinet and held this position until he was replaced by his party friend Svein Sundsbø as part of a new cabinet reshuffle on October 4th 1985.
