The parliamentary elections in Norway in 1977 took place on September 12, 1977. It was the election for the 52nd storting .

The turnout was 82.9 percent.

After the dramatic election in 1973, the Storting election in 1977 weakened the extreme parties - Socialists and Progress Party - in favor of the Labor Party and Conservatives . Det nye Folkeparti (pro-European liberals) and the Progressive Party were unable to cross the restricted border and left parliament. The arithmetical left majority was confirmed exactly, so that the Nordli (Ap) government could continue its work.
