The general election in Norway in 1957 took place on October 6, 1957. It was the election for the 47th Storting .

The Social Democratic Labor Party was able to defend its absolute majority of the mandates. The same six parties were represented in parliament as in the previous legislative term. The farmers' party was renamed the Center Party in 1959 .
