The general election in Norway in 1933 took place on October 16, 1933. It was the 42nd storting election .
Election result
The largest election winner was the Social Democratic Labor Party , which won 22 seats. The corporatist Samfunnsparti (society party) and the Kristelig Folkeparti (Christian People's Party) were able to move into the Storting for the first time . The liberal Venstre and the conservative Høyre were the biggest losers in the elections, losing nine seats each.
The number of parties represented in the Storting increased from six to eight.
