The general election in Norway in 1927 took place on October 17, 1927. It was the election for the 40th storting .
Election result
The Social Democratic Labor Party achieved a landslide victory and has been the largest parliamentary group ever since (as of 2019) . She had more than doubled her number of mandates. While the now more separate electoral alliance of Høyre and Frisinnede Venstre lost a total of 23 seats.
