General election in Norway 1888
The 27th parliamentary election in Norway took place in 1888 . Shortly before the election, the two parties founded in 1884 were joined by the Moderate Venstre, a conservative split from Venstre.
The loser Venstre was able to maintain her government until 1889, when she was replaced by a coalition of Høyre and Moderate Venstre.
