Government of Brundtland I

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Norwegian government of Brundtland I existed from February 4, 1981 to October 14, 1981 and was led by Prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland ( Arbeiderpartiet ). It followed the Nordli government and was replaced by the Willoch government. The government consisted exclusively of ministers from the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap). In the 1981 parliamentary election, however, the Labor Party suffered a defeat, so that Gro Harlem Brundtland had to give up the office of State Minister (Prime Minister) to Kåre Willoch from the conservative Høyre .
